WORKSHOP: Barking & Jumping Up!
This workshop has been so popular, that wef. Aug/Sep 2022, we will offer it as a class under our General Classes Programme.
A two-hour workshop to teach you how prevent barking at triggers such as the door-bell or people walking past the house or yard, and jumping on people.
NOT for dogs that are reactive to other dogs or people!
This workshop is heavy on both theory and practice, but understand that you won't fix it in two hours. You will need to continue applying the protocols you learn when you get home, where your dog has been practicing the behaviour much more than he/she has at Cowichan Canine. How long it will take to fix at home will depend on how long your dog has been practicing barking/jumping up and how well you are able to consistently implement and practice the protocols,
IMPORTANT: Students that are new to Cowichan Canine will be required to sign a liability waiver upon arrival and provide documentation for their dog of vaccination for parvo and distemper, no older than 3 years, or titer test no older than 12 months. Without this documentation, your dog cannot enter the premises and your fee will be forfeit.
Limited to 4 dogs.
Dear Lisbeth,
Those of us who are devoted dog owners are fortunate to have this gem of a facility here in the Cowichan Valley. These qualified, experienced, good humored and kind-hearted ladies have been so helpful to this “experienced” lifelong dog family with hell puppy Radar. New insights and practices prove you can teach these old dogs’ new tricks. And a program so reasonably priced too. It’s not that often these days you get such value for your dollar. Really. These last couple of months have been fun watching our little land shark morph into a loving and disciplined member of our family. We have so much respect for Karen, who worked with us in our Foundation training, with her amazing lengthy qualifications and down to earth sense of humor. She’s such a fantastic teacher! Our little grad Radar will now enter into her graduate studies - Scent Detection. Such Fun!
Thank You
John, Joanna, Rosie and Radar Blaszczyk

I adopted an adult dog and had no idea what I was getting into. The dog was terrified of everything, seemed as if she had never been walked on a leash, and hid from everyone. I called Cowichan Canine for help and Lisbeth came over that very day. With her gentle guidance, my dog is gaining confidence and I am feeling hopeful that I can help this dog to become a happy friend. I am very thankful for all the support I have received.
