CLASS REGISTRATION
(click on the following links to register for Private Training or a Behaviour Evaluation)
1) Unless you have already done so, please attend our free Orientation Class (via YouTube), which is compulsory for all new class students.
2) If this is your dog's first class at Cowichan Canine, please complete and submit the Online Registration Form.
3) Email your dog's vaccination record, no older than three years, for parvo and distemper (DAPPV) to [email protected]. We also accept titer tests for parvo and distempter, but they must be no older than one year.
NOTE: For puppies under 4 months of age, at least the first vaccination for each of Parvo and Distemper is required.
If you have attended class with us in the past and the vaccination record you gave us then is still valid, you can skip this step.
4) Check your class fee here, then submit your payment*, via either:
- PayPal
- Credit Card via tel 250-732-5415 or in-person
- E-transfer to [email protected]
*) If you register multiple dogs from the same household at the same time, we offer 10% off your additional dog's registration fee, but to take advantage of this discount we must ask you to pay over the phone or in person.
5) If you have not received a confirmation email from us within 24hrs of submitting form and payment, please check your junk folder; if still not received, please call us at 250-732-5415.
6) IMPORTANT: In linear classes, like Pet Manners, Advance Pet Manners or Scent Detection, the spots in class are guaranteed for each student that has registered and student spots cannot be easily replaced. Therefore, after your spot in a linear class has been confirmed, your class fee will be forfeit (= no refund!) if you cancel less than one week before the scheduled start date of the class. In that case, it is only if there is a future class that does not fill that Cowichan Canine may be able to fit you into a later class, unless you pay another class fee. (Puppy Start Right, Agility and Play Groups are modular classes, and this provision does not apply to those classes.)
WELCOME TO CLASS!
Hi Lizbeth, Stephanie and Glenda:
Thought you would like to know, we took Dalli to the Duncan market on Saturday morning. She was a perfect lady, walked around with her tail wagging and held high all the time. She was friendly and outgoing to other people, and sniffed other people’s hands and let them pet her when we stopped to talk or purchase things from the different stalls. We then walked over to the Garage for coffee, sat outside and again, she was well behaved, let people pet her and she was actually licking their hands. This was her first outing in a busy people environment as we usually just leave her in the car or at home when we go out shopping.
What a difference from a year ago when you first met her. Thank you, thank you!
We’ll see you in the fall when we come for the agility courses.
(Dalli was adopted a year ago from Mexico, and was fear-aggressive to people coming to the house.)

I just wanted to drop a note and let you know that Jody worked with us and our puppy over the month of August, and she was absolutely excellent. The private training was the perfect choice to address our specific questions and learn about returning to Alberta with the pup, and how to help her adjust. We look forward to more training next summer at the lake! Jody has such a wonderful attitude toward the training, and we felt very confident with our plan for introducing our puppy to Alberta. The introduction to our neighbour dog (the one who charges and barks as his "greeting") was perfect. We did a parallel walk across the green space, then got closer and used treats from me for both dogs. There was no charging, and they are now well introduced and quite good pals already!
Happy Puppy Parent
